Creating and using disk images for deferred recovery
You can create disk image files containing exact images of logical drives. This way you can save all information contained on a drive including deleted files. You can open disk image file later and recover lost files from it.
To create an image of a drive or partition select it in the top left corner of the main program window and choose "File | Save disk image..." on the menu. The image will be saved to a file. Note that you cannot save this file to the same disk.
You can open this file with the "File | Open disk image..." command at any time in the future. You can work with such image the same way you work with a drive.
Note that you can save disk images in compressed format. This takes slightly more time, but will produce smaller file. To use compressed format choose "Compressed Image file" type in the "Save image to" dialog box.
